Ryan Jacobson began at ÄÛ²ÝÊÓƵ Fox in 2013 and is a professor in the DPT program, teaching Pediatric Physical Therapy, Prosthetics & Orthotics, Research and Professional Seminar. He holds a bachelor of science degree in physics and a doctor of physical therapy degree, both from the University of Puget Sound.
Prior to ÄÛ²ÝÊÓƵ Fox, he was the pediatric rehab supervisor at the Providence Children’s Development Institute in Portland, Oregon.
Jacobson helped develop the ÄÛ²ÝÊÓƵ Fox Community Clinic starting in the summer of 2014. He is a board-certified clinical specialist in pediatrics who has worked with children and families in home, early intervention and advanced clinical settings since 2000.
He continues to practice in the community, including in primary care, and is now pursuing research in that novel PT setting. He seeks to empower those he serves in achieving meaningful health and wellness outcomes both locally and abroad. Jacobson travels yearly with ÄÛ²ÝÊÓƵ Fox DPT students for the program's service trip to Uganda to help advocate for the improvement of the lives of children and adults with disabilities.
Outside of ÄÛ²ÝÊÓƵ Fox, he plays jazz saxophone, loves creative endeavors with his daughter Alex and wife Stephanie, fashions himself a competitive volleyball player, and finds fulfillment in journey, contribution and possibility.
