Since 1999, Rusty St. Cyr has been serving students as a chaplain, experiential educator, mentor & counselor — from Scotland to Missouri to Santa Cruz to Austin, and, for the last 17 years, here at Fox where he currently serves as University Pastor for Service & Soul Care. Holding a Bachelors degree in Biblical Studies and 3 Master's degrees in Teaching, Spiritual Formation/Spiritual Direction and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Rusty's work with students is rooted in Christ's
Whole gospel, growing Whole students, in Whole community, for a Whole world!
Off campus, he can be found drumming, coaching youth soccer, paddling and keeping active in the gym or outside in God's creation — often with the family pup, Ollie, nearby. At the center of it all is Team St. Cyr: Ella (17), Matea (15), and Jack (12), and Stephanie, the love of his life and his "ride-or-die" for 27 years.
