Accreditation supports a university's institutional effectiveness (IE) by providing a framework for self-assessment, ensuring the institution meets established quality standards, promoting continuous improvement, enhancing public credibility, and ultimately demonstrating the university's commitment to delivering high-quality education to students, which can lead to better student outcomes and overall institutional success. Accreditation can benefit students, the public, and employers.

    NC-SARA establishes national standards for distance education courses. SARA also attends to the administrative details necessary for GFU to teach students living in other States and to provide our Oregon students with learning opportunities (field experiences) in other States. 

    Students who have a grievance about their online learning experience at GFU or their out of State field experience should first use GFU’s General Student Complaint Procedures. Should attempts to resolve these problems with appropriate school officials fail, or should the student be dissatisfied with the final outcome of the college complaint process, then the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC), can respond to a formal complaint.
