Sean Campbell's work at ÄÛ²ÝÊÓƵ Fox has grown steadily since he first taught in the College of Business as an adjunct in 2024. He returned as a visiting assistant professor in 2025, and in 2026 became an assistant professor of artificial intelligence in the business school and the university's AI integration lead for the MBA program.

In addition, he also still runs an AI consulting and research firmed named Cascade Insights. As CEO of that company, he leads the firm's AI practice, delivering AI training, adoption and advisory work to Fortune 100, 500, and mid-market B2B organizations, alongside more than two decades of strategic research for Fortune 500 technology companies.

Campbell also has an extensive background teaching professionals and students over his career, including teaching public speaking courses at Purdue University's Calumet Campus, teaching in Willamette University's MBA Program, and a long history of teaching professionals technology, business and strategy topics.

His courses are built around AI as a working tool rather than a mere technology. In "Human Value in the AI Era," students direct AI across marketing, sales, creative, HR, finance, and market research work, then argue out what those hands-on experiences mean for vocation and stewardship through a Christian lens.

In the MBA program, he teaches a solo-plus-AI venture course where students build and defend an operating model: a set of AI teammates/functions, a capability map, and a published AI policy for the venture they are launching or the function they are redesigning. He has also taught an AI consulting course in which student teams worked directly with companies across the Portland area developing real-world AI-based solutions.

Before founding Cascade Insights, Campbell cofounded, scaled, and sold 3 Leaf Solutions, a B2B technology consulting firm focused on training, marketing, and market intelligence for the technology sector. He began his career teaching technology at Metamor and the ARIS Corporation, where he earned engineering, database, and developer certifications on Microsoft platforms. He has coauthored three technical books for Microsoft Press and Intel Press, and self-published books on competitive intelligence research and how to effectively collaborate with artificial intelligence in a business context.

He earned a master's degree in communication from Purdue University and a bachelor's degree in the same field from Loyola University Chicago. Campbell lives in Oregon City with his wife, Kim, and has two adult sons, Josh and Ryan. When he isn't teaching or consulting, he is usually on "top of" the water in one form or another: skiing at Timberline Lodge in the winter, or fishing the Willamette for smallmouth bass, shad or salmon depending on the season.
